John Gosden's unbeaten filly Shutter Speed looks the obvious threat to the Bolger charge having lowered the colours of stablemate Enable at Newbury earlier in the season, with that one since landing the Cheshire Oaks. Both fillies are owned by Khalid Abdullah and his racing manager, Teddy Grimthorpe, intimated after the race on the Roodee that Enable could heading to Epsom with Shutter Speed going to France due to stamina concerns. Roger Varian runs Serenada, a Sandown maiden winner, Hugo Palmer sends Vintage Folly north after winning her only start to date while Mark Johnston fields Miss Infinity, fourth in the Pretty Polly at Newmarket.
