The going is currently reported to be heavy on the hurdles course and soft, heavy in places on the chase track with further rain expected. Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said: "If the forecast is correct we have got problems, so I'm hoping the forecast is wrong." He added: "We cant take much more rain, we're at the absolute limit and we are forecast showers on and off for most of the day."
