Regarding the Eight Star Syndicate-owned winner, Brian Slattery, brother and assistant to the winning trainer and uncle of the successful jockey, reported “we are delighted any time we can get Ben in and are very happy to have him. Andrew has a muscle issue in his back but we’re hoping he’ll be back for the weekend. “Zaraahmando is very consistent although we were just concerned about the ground. He was 8 to one and we thought he had a good chance but when we got the shower of rain an hour ago, felt it might have put paid to his chance. It was loose ground though and Ben said he handled it. “They went a good gallop so they came back to him and he actually said he was left in front too soon. “He’ll run again before the end of the year.”
