Cork remains heavy Having appeared very unlikely earlier this week when the track was flooded, racing does take place at Cork Racecourse Mallow this afternoon and the going remains heavy following a further 7mm of rain overnight. The action gets underway at 12.30pm on the seven-race card sponsored by McCarthy Insurance, and the weather forecast is for scattered showers throughout the day. Naas hosts another seven-race jumping card tomorrow, with the Grade 2 Slaney Novice Hurdle the feature, and racing also begins at 12.20pm.
