Raz De Maree, a dual winner of the Paddy Power Cork Grand National, is among 23 possibles for the three-and-a-half-mile test at the Mallow venue on Sunday.

Gavin Cromwell’s 13-year-old was successful in 2012 and 2016, and was second 12 months ago.

He warmed up for the chance to regain his crown with a run in the Munster National at Limerick last month.

Noel Meade has three interesting possibles in Monksland, Major Destination and Une Lavendiere, while Willie Mullins’ sole entry is Minella Beau.

Gordon Elliott has left four in — Rogue Angel, Out Sam, Poormans Hill and Timiyan.

Others in the mix include Jim Dreaper’s Sizing Rome, the Michael Hourigan-trained The Gatechecker and Liz Doyle’s Justmyselfandi.

Elliott is responsible for six in the Grade Three Paddy Power Celebrating EBF Novice Chase, with Blow By Blow, Boot Camp, Cubomania, Delta Work, Monatomic and Moonlight Escape.

Mullins has Robin Des Foret and Voix Du Reve among the 18 entries for the two-and-a-half-mile heat.

Eric McNamara’s Percy Veer, winner of a Listed contest at Limerick on his latest start, is among 14 entries for the Paddy’s Rewards Club EBF Novice Hurdle.

The six-year-old, who is seeking a hat-trick, would be likely to take on tough opposition in the three-mile heat.

Among potential rivals are five from the Mullins yard — Calie Du Mesnil, Getareason, Pleasure Dome, Robin De Carlow and Stay Humble.

Elliott might introduce French import Elwood, while Henry de Bromhead’s Milliner looked good when making a winning debut over hurdles at Punchestown recently.
