Listowel Wednesday’s Lucky15 14:05 Listowel - Astelia 15:15 Listowel - Dunany Point 15:50 Listowel - Bitofajokelike 16:23 Listowel - You Oughta Know 14:05 Listowel - Astelia A maiden hurdle with a limited amount of form to go off, but of the form we have there looks to be a standout selection in the shape of Astelia. On official ratings Wholelotofbusiness is 4lb clear, but the feeling is the handicapper has got this one wrong and on form have Astelia as the better horse. On all four of his hurdle runs he has filled the runner-up spot, but it is surely only a matter of time before this changes, with the Sea The Stars mare continuing to give a good account of herself in similar races. As mentioned, Wholelotofbusiness, looks the main threat, but this looks a great opportunity for Astelia to break her maiden. 15:15 Listowel - Dunany Point A competitive handicap and one where Bearami Creek is likely to be well fancied following his win at Navan over the weekend. It is, however, another who catches the eye in Dunany Point. He has been inconsistent and difficult to stick with at times, but the drop in trip looks sure to suit as he has looked a clear non stayer when racing over 3m. He put in a much improved performance last time when sporting cheek-pieces for the first time and, provided they have the same positive effect here, he looks to have an outstanding chance of success. 15:50 Listowel - Bitofajokelike As can be expected from the meeting this looks like another tricky handicap to solve, but well fancied to perform though is the five-year-old Bitofajokelike. He has been in the first three on all of his last four appearances, including a win in this space of time. The fact that Jake Coen has been on him for all of this but rides another in the race might at first appear a negative, but it is in fact a positive. Calum Hogan takes the ride this time and claims 7lb, which should help the son of Malinas. On top of this, the jockey has two wins from his last four rides and can add to that tally here. 16:23 Listowel - You Oughta Know This is the feature of the day and cases can be made for a number in the race, but it is with Willie Mullins where the most likely winner is, with the progressive You Oughta Know. He has shown ability in bumpers, over hurdles and most recently over fences. Last time out he was a 23-length winner of a novice chase and, although a case can be made against the strength of the form, there is no doubting that it was a good and very impressive performance. This was just his fourth start over fences and he showed a significant amount of improvement. He runs here off an official mark of 137 and this looks to significantly underestimate his ability. Mullins might have only one win in this race in the past decade, but he looks likely to make it another.
