Europe on target for Gowran Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Sizing Europe is all set to make his eagerly awaited seasonal debut in the €39,000 Grade 2 Pricewaterhouse Coopers Champion Chase at Gowran Park on Saturday. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding took the two mile division by storm at the Cheltenham Festival last March when beating previous winner Big Zeb by five lengths, and the Waterford trainer is looking forward to his reappearance. “Andrew (Lynch) schooled him here on Monday and we were all delighted with him. The ground should be perfect for him on Saturday and this looks to be a nice starting point,” said the trainer on his website henrydebromheadracing.com. He added, “He's done slighlty more work at home than this time last year, and he seems to be in great form. He's sure to come on for the run so we'll see how we get on this Saturday and make plans from there. It's great to have him back.”
