Philip Fenton does not expect the step up in trip to provide a problem to Dunguib who continues on the comeback trial in the Ladbrokes Boyne Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.

A scintillating 10-length winner of the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in 2009, his career has been cruelly curtailed by injury in recent seasons.

He made a pleasing return to action after the best part of three years off when third to Rule The World in the Limestone Lad Hurdle over two miles and three furlongs, and steps up another two furlongs in trip this weekend.

"He seems very well in himself. It's his first time over two-five but I wouldn't think that would be an issue. I'd say he'll be fine over the trip," said Fenton.

"He came out of his last race absolutely fine and we're hoping that he runs a good race."

Fenton is delighted to see his charge back on the racecourse after a long-time on the sidelines.

"It was a long time coming. So far so good with him, he's had no problems and he's really well in himself at the moment," he said.

Zaidpour, Minsk and Rathlin feature among the opposition.
