Fever still in Arkle picture Champagne Fever, a winner at the last two Cheltenham Festivals, is among 34 entries for the Racing Post Arkle on March 11. However, Willie Mullins' grey has also been entered in the JLT Chase and the RSA Chase at the showcase meeting. Also among Mullins' team of six Arkle entries is the highly-regarded Felix Yonger. Nicky Henderson has won the last two renewals of the Arkle with Sprinter Sacre and Simonsig and has just the one entry this year in Grandouet. Paul Nicholls also has a good record in the race and can choose this year from Hinterland, Caid Du Berlais, Dark Lover, Dodging Bullets and Mr Mole. Rock On Ruby won a Champion Hurdle for Nicholls but could aim to give Harry Fry a first championship race success. Fry has also entered Vukovar, an expensive French recruit. Paul Nolan's Defy Logic beat Champagne Fever over Christmas and could be joined from Ireland by Don Cossack from Gordon Elliott's yard. Trifolium, Shrapnel, Arnaud and Ted Veale are other Irish entrants. Balder Succes, Raya Star and Valdez form a trio entered by Alan King, while Emma Lavelle has two possibles in Claret Cloak and Fox Appeal. Michael Scudamore's Next Sensation and David Pipe's Western Warhorse are also engaged at this stage.
