Foley fires in treble through Echo Inferno Echo Inferno brought up a 134/1 treble for Shane Foley when Echo Inferno won the staying maiden in Leopardstown by a length and three-quarters. Foley got after third-running Echo Inferno (2/1) two furlongs out and his partner still had work on his plate entering the final furlong. He stayed on with 150 yards to travel and finished best of all once he took over in the closing stages. Runner-up Sakoku (16/1) had no answers close home but was two lengths clear of a never nearer third Eniac (10/3). Echo Inferno gave Jessica Harrington a double on the card as she also teamed up with Foley and Apollo's Comet (2/1). The jockey's other winner on the card was 14/1 Heliogabalus trained by Sean Byrne. Assistant trainer Kate Harrington said: "Delighted with that. He was a big, weak horse last year and, we knew he's step forward from his seasonal debut. "He absolutely loved that ground and loved the step up in trip. "I think he's a horse that could be a really nice stayer in the making and, even whatever he does this year, is going to be a bonus for when he even strengthens up a bit more next year. I think he could definitely be up to a stakes horse." Additional reporting by John O'Riordan
