Ballyoisin is set to go back over fences for the Fortria Chase following his victory in a valuable handicap hurdle at Listowel last month.

Ballyoisin is a five-time chase winner — including twice through the summer — but completed his hat-trick over hurdles with a 59,000 euro success by a length from Willie Mullins’ favourite Shanning.

Trainer Enda Bolger is hoping the rains will come in time for his seven-year-old in the Grade Two Fortria over two miles at Navan on November 11.

“I hope he’ll go to Navan for the Fortria Chase,” said Bolger.

“We’re just waiting for a little juice in the ground.

“It was a 100 grand race he won over hurdles, and Navan is the next one we’re going for.”
