Triumph Hurdle favourite Ivan Grozny is one of eight possible runners in the Gala Retail Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Willie Mullins' French Flat recruit was narrowly beaten by the Aidan O'Brien-trained Plinth on his jumping debut at Leopardstown's Christmas Festival, but showed he had benefited from the outing with a brilliant display at Naas last month.

Plinth, not seen since his festive triumph, is set to reoppose in the Grade One contest.

Frank Berry, racing manager for owner JP McManus, also confirmed Carlingford Lough an intended starter in the Dr. P.J. Moriarty Novice Chase on the same card.

He said: "They appear to be in good form and the intention is for both to run. Aidan and John (Kiely) are happy with them."

Mullins also has Abbyssial and smart mare Gitane Du Berlais engaged in the four-year-old contest, while Tiger Roll has been supplemented by Gordon Elliott.

The field is completed by Dessie Hughes' Guitar Pete, Charles O'Brien's Henry Higgins and Orgilgo Bay from John McConnell's yard.
