Heskin on the mend Conditional jockey Adrian Heskin is on the mend from a serious leg injury and is back riding-out this week. The five pounds claimer hasn’t ridden since falling from Rakamasi at the first fence at Killarney on May 17 and has since had reconstruction work done on a cruciate ligament. Speaking this morning Heskin, who is based with trainer Michael Hourigan, said “I’ve been out of action since last May but have been swimming away recently and have started back riding out since Monday.” “I’ll get fully fit before returning to race-riding and hopefully I’ll be back in six weeks time.” Thomas Weekes
