Irish Gold Cup on the agenda for Valseur Lido Valseur Lido could bid for compensation following his Lexus Chase eclipse in the Irish Gold Cup. Henry de Bromhead's charge was among the leading fancies for last week's Leopardstown showpiece after running out an 11-length winner of a Down Royal Grade One on his seasonal bow. However, he could finish only fourth in the Lexus and De Bromhead could send Valseur Lido on a return trip to Leopardstown on February 12th now. De Bromhead told At The Races: "About five strides before the last I thought he just started to paddle a tiny bit, then he winged it but emptied out. "We'll see what we do, but he's in great form since the run. We'll see what everyone wants to do, we might give him the benefit of the doubt and look at the Irish Gold Cup. "I haven't spoken to Michael and Eddie about that yet."
