Irish runners in Britain today

Britain stages three Flat meetings today with Irish trained horses accounting for seven of the runners at two of the meetings.

Ffos Las sees six Irish runners, with Co Cork based John Murphy sending Swedish Rhapsody to contest the Selwood Pump And Plant Hire Median Auction Maiden Stakes and Draiocht in the Spiffing Crabbie`s Alcoholic Ginger Beer Handicap. Christy Donoghue’s Gothen Niece is also due to run in the latter contest.

Mark Loughnane runs both Speedy Yaki, in the opening British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes and Johnstown Lad in the Stradey Park Handicap while

Rodger Sweeney also sends over Diamond Rainbow to contest the opening event.

At Hamilton, Irish hopes lie with the John McConnell trained Cyrus which contests the Join Us On Facebook Handicap.
