Jordan Breeze (10/1, from 14s before the off) recorded his first victory in the opening five-furlong handicap at Dundalk.

Trained by Pat Flynn for his wife Catherine, the winner tracked the leaders and went second over a furlong out before gradually wearing down the front-running Ballysax Lil' Mick to score by a head.

By Starspangledbanner, the winner is a brother of Beauty Waves who made all in a 5f maiden here at two before being sold to Hong Kong where he has won six races.

Winning rider Robyn Donaghue-Leahy said: "He's still green as grass and it is his first time up here.

"It is a big open straight and I was conscious that I wanted to hold on to him as long as I could, and just have one go.

"He hit the line strong.

"Definitely (bodes well for a winter campaign in Dundalk) and he is bred to be up here."
