Leblon Queen drifted out to a massive 80/1 on debut for the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden, but the weakness in the market didn't prevent her making a winning start. Divelment was keen to get on with things for James Ryan and Chris Hayes sat in second on Leblon Queen swinging for home.

The leader attempted to stretch the field inside the final quarter of a mile, however, Hayes got into the drive position and sent his filly past approaching the final furlong.

The pair kept on well to repel market-springer Green Soul who came from well back, in second but was a neck in arrears at the line. Green Soul was backed at all rates from 15/2 to 2/1 and went into plenty of notebooks with the way he finished. Nakamura (10/1) was half a length away in third.

Adrian Murray said: “She’s a nice filly at home, but has certainly stepped up today and Chris said the biggest job he had was pulling her up.

“She’s a homebred and is by Galileo Gold who gets plenty of nice fillies.

“It’s a lovely start for her, but where she goes now I’m not sure.”
