Master Minded possible for Punchestown

Master Minded could head another strong Paul Nicholls team at the Punchestown Festival.

The dual Queen Mother Champion Chase winner has the option of the Kerrygold Champion Chase at the County Kildare venue - or the Celebration Chase at Sandown on April 25th.

"I've entered a few for the two-mile chase - Master Minded, Oumeyade and Imsingingtheblues," said Nicholls.

"There is Sandown as well for Master Minded and if he could have won there and won the Order of Merit as a result, it would be tempting.

"But if he won at Sandown, he would only finish within a point of Voy Por Ustedes, so we'll have to see.

"Punchestown would suit him well, but he would need ground on the easy side of good.

"If it was good, good to soft, he could run - but the whole thing is totally weather dependent."

Nicholls has a variety of other contenders at the meeting.

He continued: "I was trying to find something for the Guinness Gold Cup, so we have put Gungadu in and he could run.

"Imsingingtheblues, Oumeyade, Free World and Tatenen have all been put in the two-mile novice chase.

"Hebridean is in the juvenile race and American Trilogy is in the two-mile novice.

"I think I have a couple more in there, too, but this is just a tentative plan at this stage."
