McGuinness Back For More At Wolverhampton Trainer Adrian McGuinness who has enjoyed successful raids at Wolverhampton earlier this month is back for more at the West midlands venue this afternoon. McGuinness trained Oor Jock and Pivot Bridge to win on successive days at the beginning of the year and then returned to the track a week later to score again with the latter named horse. Today McGuinness teams up with his nephew Luke in the opening two Amateur Riders' contests where he is represented by Pillar and Oor Jock. The four-year-old, Pillar, remains a maiden after 17 starts but on the plus side has made the placings on six separate occasions and is running off a career low mark of 48. The gelded son of Rock Of Gibraltar raced too keenly on a recent comeback run at Dundalk over a slightly longer trip and it is not inconceivable that he could make the breakthrough this afternoon. Oor Jock is the more obvious contender of the pair having scored over seven furlongs at the course already this year. He has since run respectably when fifth over the same distance at Dundalk and the drop back a furlong today shouldn't prove a problem. Oor Jock has won twice over six furlongs and even scored over the minimum trip as a juvenile when in the care of Dermot Weld.
