Murphy looking to next season

Colm Murphy is looking forward to next season with Big Zeb following his fine run behind Master Minded in the Kerrygold Champion Chase at Punchestown on Tuesday.

Big Zeb failed by only a head to peg back the dual Queen Mother Champion Chase winner after making a bad mistake at the final fence when making a strong challenge.

"He seems fine, he ate up last night and there's not a bother on him. It's just a pity he didn't jump the last fence," said the County Wexford trainer.

"That's it for this season and he's one to look forward to for next season.

"We'll stick to two miles with him and, touch-wood, he was only a novice last year.

"He'll have the benefit of this year under his belt now."

Paul Nicholls reported Master Minded to be in good shape following his head victory.

It meant Clive Smith's six-year-old ended the campaign unbeaten in four races, all in Grade One company.

"He's 100%, he's absolutely fine today," said the Ditcheat trainer.
