Newcastle Wednesday Off Wednesday's meeting at Newcastle has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track. Clerk of the course James Armstrong inspected the track at 8am but found the course to be unraceable. He said: "We only had one millimetre of rain overnight but the track is still waterlogged." He added: "We have no option to avoid the affected areas and we have more rain forecast when what we really need is some dry weather."
