Nolan hopeful for improving Aura

Paul Nolan hopes Aura About You can build upon her hugely promising effort at the Cheltenham Festival when she lines up in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

The six-year-old has held her own at a decent level this term, most recently finishing third behind Quevega and United in the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle at Prestbury Park.

"She came out of Cheltenham in good form and is a filly who is improving with time," said Nolan.

"It's good to see the Festival race holding up well, with United running such a good race in the Aintree Hurdle last weekend.

"It's going to be a competitive affair as there are a couple of other decent mares in it.

"And while Cheltenham doesn't seem to have taken a lot out of her, you never know until you have another run.

"She'll appreciate the better ground and goes there with her chance."

Aura About You is one of 21 entries for the mares-only contest, with Michael O'Brien's recent Limerick winner Oligarch Society likely to be one of her main rivals.

Others entries of note include Colm Murphy's Voler La Vedette, Carrigmoorna Storm and Shirley Casper.
