Onemoredance caps off memorable campaign with 33/1 Listed win Onemoredance has proved one of the most improved horses in training on the Flat this year and recorded her fifth win of the campaign when landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Garnet Stakes at Naas. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly started off the campaign from a mark of 58 and really topped it off here by taking the mile Listed event at odds of 33/1. The daughter of King Of Change quickened up between horses over a furlong out and kept on strongly under Ben Coen to score by half a length. Smiling took the runner-up berth with Soft Winds keeping on well just a head further back in third. Murtagh said, “I can’t say enough about this filly. She’s improved so much during the year. “She was tricky at the start of the year, and you have to humour her, but she’s really got into the racing zone and built up lovely through the ranks. “I thought she ran well on Champions Weekend but they went a bit quick in front and horses came from the back to win it. “She had a lovely draw today and he rode her beautifully and got a lovely run through. She quickened up well. “She’s tough, hardy and loves her racing. It’s her fifth win of the year. “She’s in the December mare sale and it’s a great way for her to go. “The lads get a great kick out of it. Ciaran (Kilkenny, All-Ireland winning footballer with Dublin) loves it and it’s a bit of a release for him. “He’s got a few of his friends involved and they love coming to the races. They are after getting a great ride with this one. She has been very lucky for them.” Murtagh and Coen were completing a double on the card having also been on the mark with Chicago Pope.
