Palmer's Love plan Hugo Palmer hopes to get two more runs into Darley Irish Oaks winner Covert Love - ground permitting. The Prix de l'Opera over 10 furlongs at Longchamp on the first weekend in October is her first port of call. The Newmarket trainer then hopes to be able to run her in the Fillies & Mares race at Ascot on Champions Day, October 17. Due to the lack of opportunities early next season, Palmer has no qualms about running his stable star during the closing weeks of the season, given she will then be given a lengthy break. "All being well you'll certainly see her again this season," said Palmer of Covert Love, last seen being narrowly beaten in the Yorkshire Oaks by Pleascach. "She looks a million dollars and I'm delighted with her work. "The most obvious race for her is the Prix de l'Opera and then after that hopefully we'll be able to go to Ascot on Champions Day. "If either of those two were to turn into a bog then we might have to think again, but that's the plan. "The intention is to run in both because there is nothing for her in the early part of next season, so she can have a long break."
