Pandorama on course for Hennessy Pandorama remains firmly on course for a tilt at the Hennessy Gold Cup despite the mysterious nose bleed he suffered at Down Royal earlier this month. Noel Meade's star chaser was due to make his seasonal reappearance in the Ladbrokes.com Chase on November 6 but had to be withdrawn at the start after the problem was spotted. Connections quickly ruled out any major problem and he booked his trip to Newbury on Saturday week with a pleasing workout at Punchestown on Sunday. "He worked in Punchestown on Sunday and we were delighted with him," Meade told At The Races. "He jumped around over two miles and seemed to do everything well, so it's all systems go and we couldn't be happier with him at this stage. "We'll see how we get on in the Hennessy but I would say he'll quite probably run in the Lexus Chase over Christmas. He looks like a genuine three-miler and we think he's good enough to compete in those good races. "What rating he can get up to, I don't know, but we like him a lot and he's only been beaten once." Meade is also excited by what the future may hold for Thegreatjohnbrowne after maintaining his unbeaten record over fences at Punchestown on Sunday. The six-year-old made an impressive start to his chasing career at the same venue last month, and had little trouble following up in the Grade Three Florida Pearl Novice Chase. "He's taken well to jumping fences and he's a huge horse with a great cruising speed," Meade told At The Races. "He has a great jump in him so hopefully he'll stay right and you wouldn't know where we'll get to. "He's a very good actioned horse but it was very soft at Punchestown and he handled it well, so I'm hoping he'll handle most ground."
