Parkgarve gives O'Hanlon a Downpatrick double Paddy O'Hanlon booted home a double in Downpatrick when Parkgarve made all in the Lily O‘Hare Memorial Handicap Hurdle. First-time blinkers were deployed on the six-year-old gelding and O'Hanlon soon had him clear. The jockey was able to get breathers into his mount and the 9/2 shot went on again two out. O'Hanlon kept him up to his work to score by 12 lengths for Ian Donoghue. Granlahan was a remote second at 7/1 and was six lengths clear of Kalsman (18/1). The winning rider said: "Jumped out to make use of him, first-time blinkers on. I was able to fill him up two or three times and he stuck at it well. "Like I said before, he was running consistent races over all trips, but great to get his head in front. "I said I'll just let him roll along to make a bit of use of that stamina. Filled him up where we could and it has worked well in the end. "That's my sixth winner so far for the summer, so keep tipping away. "I'm in Ian's, Dermot's (McLoughlin) and in Gordon's (Elliott) a morning, so try and keep busy." The rider also landed the previous race on McLoughlin's Malbay Madness (2/1).
