Payment chases Plate win at Down Royal Twilight Payment heads a decent field for Her Majesty's Plate at Down Royal on Friday evening. The Jim Bolger-trained colt chased home top stayer Order Of St George on his last outing at Leopardstown in May and looks to have been found a nice opportunity to get back to winning ways in the Listed feature in County Antrim. The Godolphin-owned four-year-old has faced the best around in Ireland this season, having been placed behind the progressive Torcedor on his previous two outings. He finished off last year with a victory over Forgotten Rules at the Curragh and looks the obvious one to beat on the strength of his form over staying trips. The three-year-old Grandee enjoys a nice pull at the weights in the one-mile-six-furlong contest and could prove a danger. Jessica Harrington's charge made little impression in the Irish Derby, but had been a good winner at this level at Leopardstown previously. He just failed to get up over a furlong shorter than this at Navan prior to that and looks the type to progress into a smart stayer. Savannah Storm appeared to improve when tackling Listed company at Roscommon last time and he is entitled to respect. Tom Dooley bids for a four-timer in the previous contest on the card, the Magners Light Handicap. Richard O'Brien has his small string in flying form and Tom Dooley has been transformed since joining the yard. The Dylan Thomas gelding seemed to win with a little bit in hand when completing his hat-trick at Fairyhouse the other day and is sure to give a bold showing once more. The opening 100% Magners Irish Cider Race has only attracted six runners but looks an intriguing affair. Treasuring, who finished a respectable eighth in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, takes a drop in grade in the five-furlong contest and would appear the one to beat. The Dermot Weld-trained India Rain wasn't beaten far in a decent Listed contest at Tipperary on her second outing earlier in the month and would seem the main threat to Ger Lyons' filly.
