Pets Georgina and Circus Hill were two well-backed horses in the mares' bumper at Sligo and it was the former who beat the latter by a length.

The winner, with Josh Halford in the plate, had to survive a stewards enquiry as she edged left in the closing stages and slightly bumped the runner-up with further interference close home.

Pets Georgina was returned at 8/1 from 14/1 while Circus Hill was a 16/5 chance from 7/1. Moyneard was just over two lengths away in third at 6/1.

John Ryan said: "She had a really good run in a novice hurdle at Kilbeggan and is a talented mare.

"She's difficult to ride and difficult to train, and did a good bit wrong there. She pulled her way to the front, but still had enough to stay there.

"She's unnaturally tough. She's out a of a good mare (Missyspet) that the Hartes raced, who won three races

"She'll go back hurdling now." Tacograph the easy-t-back 11/10 favourite, weakened in sixth.
