Kieran Purcell’s You Done Well just edged a thrilling finish with Klassman in the second division of the McMahons Builders Providers Handicap Hurdle at Limerick.

The eventual winner had led early in the two-mile-three contest before Klassman took over going away from the stands.

Danny Gilligan got a good run on the inner to dispute on the 18/1 shot over the final flight and he just found a bit more close home to secure a head victory.

The Decorated Knight gelding was opening his account tonight and had been well beaten on his most recent outing at Cork.

Gilligan said afterwards:- "I'm delighted to get one over the line for Kieran and it was the horse's first go with the blinkers, which I think made all the difference.

"It was only his fourth run in a handicap so he is still learning about the job and hopefully this can give him confidence. He bounced off that ground and hopefully there will be more fun to be had with him."
