Racecourse gallop for Byron Tom Hogan will send his multiple Group One winner Gordon Lord Byron to Naas on Monday for a workout after racing. The seven-year-old disappointed in the inaugural Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup at Sha Tin last month, but was subsequently found to have pulled a muscle in his back. Hogan has nursed his stable star back to full health and is keen to give him a racecourse gallop before identifying a prep race ahead of a trip to Royal Ascot for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes in June. Gordon Lord Byron holds entries in the Amethyst Stakes on May 10 and the Greenlands Stakes on May 23. Hogan said: "He'll work after racing in Naas tomorrow and that will tell us where we are with him. "He pulled a muscle in his sacroiliac joint in Hong Kong, but he seems good again now. "He has a number of entries and hopefully we'll get a run in before (Royal) Ascot."
