Record UK jackpot won 124 times There were 124.88 winning tickets of this afternoon's totejackpot at Newmarket which produced an eventual dividend of £16,610.50 to a £1 stake. The record rollover of £1,262,152 that was carried forward from yesterday's meeting produced a record ever totejackpot pool of £2,921.589.27 whilst there was a record amount of £1,659,437.49 bet into the Jackpot this afternoon. Alsindi took the first race at Newmarket at odds of 5/1 and she was the biggest priced winner all afternoon as punters took advantage of the fancied horses winning to land the bet. A total of 640.02 tickets were left in the bet heading into the final leg and Mahbooba's victory at 3/1 knocked out all bar the eventual 124 winners. The total pool of £2,921,589.27 is the biggest in the history of the bet and surpassed the previous largest of £2,308,852 at Haydock Park back in August of last year. "Congratulations to all the successful totejackpot punters who have landed a tidy sum for their efforts," said totepool spokesman George Primarolo. "The winners ranged from a £1 bet in a betting shop in Ipswich to several big syndicates off-course which just goes to show that the bet appeals to both small and big-staking punters alike." The current record totejackpot dividend came on 8th March this year when heating engineer Steve Whiteley landed £1,445,671 at Exeter having staked just £2 on the bet.
