Simonsig's sis pleasing Nolan Trainer Shane Nolan was pleased with Simone's racecourse debut and hopes the well-bred mare can win a bumper before the end of the campaign. The five-year-old, a half-sister to the ill-fated Simonsig, shaped promisingly when fifth to Carter McKay at Leopardstown. "She ran a lovely race, she was very green," said Nolan. "We were keen to get a run into her while the ground was nice,. "We've been trying to get a run into her now for the last three or four weeks, but the ground just kept going against her. "She will go for another bumper but it'll depend on the ground when she'll run. "She might get a little break now and come back in the spring. She is a well-bred mare. "She is a half-sister to Simonsig and a full-sister to a horse called Drumcliff who was second at Kempton over Christmas. I would be disappointed if she doesn't win a bumper. "She has very little done. We think she will make into a real nice mare in time."
