Sixandahalf was a warm order in the opening mares' beginners' chase at Gowran Park and Keith Donoghue kept it simple off the front.

This was her second start over fences having been beaten in a 'match' race in Sligo, and the form got a boost as the winner finished second in a Grade 2 chase at Clonmel last Thursday. She attained a peak mark of 140 over flights.

She was clear five out, however, the lead was reduced approaching the straight. The six-year-old mare readily asserted over the penultimate obstacle and strode right away on the run-in to seal an emphatic 14-length success from Mo Ghille Mar .

Gavin Cromwell said: "She jumped brilliant. She's very small, but she's very good to jump.

"You'd like the way she quickened up at the back of the second last, and then over the last, and out to the line.

"She has gears and she jumps well enough for two-miles. Although she stays further on the Flat, when you are a good jumper it always makes you quicker.

"We'll find races for her."
