Soumillon will miss Arc Christophe Soumillon is to miss the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe meeting at Longchamp next month after failing in an appeal against a 15-day riding ban. The Belgian rider was hit with the suspension after he was adjudged by the racecourse stewards to have been responsible for the fall of Arrivederla in the Prix Al Wakra on Arc trials day. His mount, Glasshoughton, passed the post in first place, but was disqualified and placed last. Paris-Turf confirmed on Tuesday night that Soumillon's appeal had been rejected. Soumillon has won the Arc twice, aboard the brilliant pair of Dalakhani (2003) and Zarkava (2008).
