Spine Tingling Display from Moscow Intelligent, one of the leading lights at Jessica Harrington´s yard sadly fell fatally at Sandown yesterday, but today´s performance of Moscow Flyer in winning the Tingle Creek Chase will have helped lift spirits at the Moone establishment.Barry Geraghty´s mount made a slight mistake at the first fence in the back straight when jumping to the left but the breathtaking leap at the final fence was far more characteristic of the nine-year-old’s performance. The Champion Chaser joined Cenkos at the head of affairs at the second of the Railway Fences before Geraghty decided to take the race by the scruff of the neck at the fourth-last. It proved a decisive move with only Azertyuiop and Flagship Uberalles, winner of this race three times, offering any real threat. But the result was never really in any doubt, victory being sealed with a tremendous jump at the last before the son of Moscow Society went away to win by four lengths. The undoubted star of this division is now likely to have two more runs before going back to Cheltenham in March to defend his crown. He is a best-priced 7/4 to do just that.
