Sponsorship boost for Fairyhouse Easter Festival Fairyhouse have announced a number of additions to the list of sponsors at their three-day Easter Festival meeting which boasts prize-money in excess of one million euro. A number of new sponsors have come on board this year including Lexeme Retail, The Russell Restaurant based in Navan, fruit and vegetable distribution company Keelings, Tote Ireland and William Fry Solicitors. Existing sponsors Ladbrokes and Gigginstown House Stud have extended their sponsorship at the meeting. The Gigginstown House Point to Point Bumper will run for an increased prize fund of ?40,000, and will be broadcast live on RTE on Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National day - Monday April 13. Michael O'Leary of Gigginstown House Stud commented, 'We are thrilled to extend our sponsorship of the bumper. With the race live on RTE it increases the profile and exposure of not only point to point graduates but also the amateur jockeys.' Ladbrokes have continued their title sponsorship on Tuesday at the Co. Meath track, and have added the Grade Three winners hurdle on Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National day to their portfolio. Caroline Gray, manager of Fairyhouse racecourse, said, 'I would like to thank our loyal sponsors who have continued to support us this year. The wonderful support of Irish Distillers, who have a long and successful association with Fairyhouse, has ensured that both the Powers Gold Cup (?100,000) and the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National (?250,000) will be run at 2008 prize money levels.'
