Star Links recorded his eleventh career success as he took the Ladbrokes Handicap at Wolverhampton this afternoon, for Cavan based trainer Shane Donohoe.

The eight-year-old son of Bernstein won over the course and distance in November of last year, while he also won at Limerick and Galway during 2013.

Sent off the 3/1 favourite, the Luke Morris ridden gelding tracked the leaders for much of the contest, before he was ridden to lead over a furlong from home.

Despite edging left inside the final furlong, he was driven out by Morris to score by half a length, with Silverware, who attempted to make all, finishing second at 14/1.
