Shapoor Mistry's Thundering On picked an opportune time to shed her maiden tag, as she easily accounted for six rivals in the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Salsabil Stakes.

Beaten into second on her return at Leopardstown, the Joseph O'Brien-trained bay was upped in trip to 10-furlongs this afternoon.

Returned the 11/4 favourite and racing mainly in third under Joey Sheridan, the Frankel chestnut was briefly short of room halfway up the straight, but came with her challenge between horses over a furlong from home and soon shot to the front.

Ridden and extending her advantage in the closing stages, she had three-and-a-quarter lengths to spare at the line.

Dundalk winner Emmeleia (4/1) fared best of the rest under Gavin Ryan for Donnacha O'Brien.

"I thought she was impressive and she had a big turn of foot," O'Brien commented.

"Her dam was a great filly for us, and it is nice that she is following in her footsteps.

"We might look at something like the Prix de Diane (Chantilly) now for her."

Sheridan added: "She's a high-class filly and she was unlucky to bump into another high-class filly (Skydance) probably the last day.

"I ended up getting a lovely position there in the box seat. The whole way down to the furlong pole I was just filling her up, waiting for a gap. I kind of knew it was going to open up, so I wasn't really in any panic.

"She has a lot of ability, and she is going to keep coming forward.

"Definitely (destined for bigger and better things) - her dam (Thundering Nights) was a very good mare, so I am sure she will probably follow suit."

O'Brien was completing a quickfire cross card double, having claimed the fourth at Limerick with Electric Night
