Top class Grade 2 in prospect at Gowran

Nine horse have been declared for the Grade 2, PricewaterhouseCoopers Champion Chase at Gowran Park this coming Saturday with three top class entries among the field.

Last seen pulling up (was later reported to be sick) in the rescheduled King George at Kempton in January, Forpadydeplasterer could line up for the 2m 4f contest.

Having finished in the runner-up spot on his seven starts since winning the 2009 Arkle Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, the son of Moscow Society would be an interesting runner.

Rubi Light who won the Grade 2 Red Mills Chase over the course and distance in February is also among the entries for his trainer Robbie Hennessy.

On his last start the French bred son of Network ran a cracker at the Cheltenham Festival to finish just three lengths third to Albertas Run in the Grade 1 Ryanair Chase.

This year's Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Sizing Europe is the other top class entry and could be in line to make his seasonal reappearance.

Having finished three parts of a length second to Big Zeb on his last start at the Punchestown Festival, the Henry De Bromhead trained gelding looks the one to beat.

Coolcashin, Elysian Rock, Finger On the Pulse, Lenabane, Royal Choice and Scotsirish are the other six horses declared for the race worth €39,000.
