Colin Keane doubled up in Fairyhouse after Tounsivator shaded Pavilion End in the rated race over an extended one-mile-five-furlongs for Willie Mullins.

Pavilion End led the field into the straight, but found himself pressed by 5/2 favourite Tounsivator at the '2' pole.

The pair were tussling away and it was inside the final furlong Tounsivator that edged ahead. It was still all to play for, though, but Tounsivator held the advantage all the way to the line as he scored by a short head over the 28/1 runner-up who lost little in defeat. Each-way backers drew a dividend from Not Just Any Eagle who was a length and three-quarters away in third at 6/1.

Keane was also successful on Livenka (5/6f) in race two for Ger Lyons.

Aubrey McMahon of Temple Bloodstock Tounsivator Syndicate said: “I’m delighted. It was his first run back after a break and it was a good performance back on the level.

“He’s been to the Galway festival for the last couple of years, so hopefully he pulls out alright in the morning and we’ll head back there.

“He’ll have Flat and handicap hurdle options. His Flat handicap mark maybe isn’t as used as his hurdles mark, so he might run on the Flat there this year.

“He’s probably well enough exposed over hurdles, but we’ll see - he’ll be entered in everything.”

When asked if the Connacht Hotel (QR) Handicap could be a target he added: “That looks like an obvious one for him to be in on the Monday.”
