Voler La Vedette Ready for Sunday Colm Murphy believes Voler La Vedette is capable of making her presence felt in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday. The five-year-old was third on her Punchestown debut a year ago and has gone on to win each of her next three outings, most recently making a victorious start to her hurdling career at Leopardstown. The daughter of King's Theatre has more on her plate as she steps up to Graded company for the first time at the weekend, but Murphy hopes she will be up to the task. "We've been delighted with her and she is a filly who has done nothing but improve," said Murphy. "She did it well the last day, and hopefully she will run another big race at the weekend. "She's a little short of experience, but I think she is entitled to take her chance." Voler La Vedette is one of 16 intended runners in the Grade Three contest, with three-time winner Oligarch Society looking to be her main danger. Jessica Harrington's Afasheen, Itsallaracket and Dolly Hall are other interesting contenders.
