Walsh heaps praise on Un De Sceaux Ruby Walsh believes Un De Sceaux has never really received the credit his performances on a racetrack have deserved. The Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old claimed a sixth Grade One triumph at the weekend when he strode purposefully clear in the rearranged Clarence House Chase. Next up is the Festival back at Cheltenham, where he holds entries in the Ryanair Chase and the Queen Mother Champion Chase. "Un De Sceaux was deadly," Walsh told RTE. "He jumped super, travelled really well and I think the testing ground at Cheltenham really suited him. "He'd been to Ascot the week before for a meeting that was called off, had to travel home and then travel back again to Cheltenham so it was a good trial of the horse and he put up a good performance. "He's always been a tough, honest horse. For whatever reason he doesn't get the credit he deserves, he's won 17 races from 22 attempts and he's definitely a favourite within the yard. "Whether he goes to the Ryanair or the Champion Chase all depends on the ground with him. "He's definitely a more effective horse on slower ground and he might be vulnerable on good ground at two miles and if that was the case he'll probably step up in trip, but look, we still have six weeks to go and there's lots of time for things to change. "He won the Prix la Barka in France last May over two-miles-five so the (Ryanair) trip shouldn't be an issue."
