A former point-to-point winner, the seven-year-old ran a huge race on his Rules debut for previous connections here last April when runner-up in a bumper. Subsequently bought by Oliver McKiernan, the gelding has yet to reach those same heights in three runs over hurdles but shaped with promise on a couple of occasions. Making his first start in handicap company in this lowly grade, it would be no surprise to see an improved performance. Locally trained Jay Pee M is well handicapped over hurdles relative to his chase mark and, must be respected. Clonmel winner Getaway Henry also has his chance in a competitive race.
