FormscanBy Shane Redmond - VENUSIENNE (8) flopped on her first run of the year at Kilbeggan in June but was much better under a more patient ride in a mares' handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival next time. She was very good that day in beating race favourite Fratas and might just hold her own in this stronger contest. Five of these ran in the Galway Hurdle with very little between Gameball, Ragmans Corner and Helvic Dream at the business end. They should all go well again with the consistent Paul's Dream another to look out for after her wide-margin win over a longer trip at Galway earlier this month.

An extended handicap hurdle for five years old and upwards that at entry have run at least four times in hurdle races or that have run three times in hurdle races and been placed first, second, third or fourth in a handicap hurdle up to and including 13th September 2026
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
