A dour stayer, he was unsuited by soft ground at Galway but was on top form at Killarney, where he made all the running, and indeed completed another lap afterwards. Gangster Granny has done very well at Downpatrick recently and while this distance will suit ideally on the Flat, has been slowly away from stalls on her last two Flat starts. Alba Chiara won this race last year, while Happy Jacky landed the 2024 renewal.
