He ran into a progressive sort in Low Lie The Fields at Punchestown three weeks back. The Oscar gelding might well manage a three pound higher mark with the longer distance of this event promising to suit well. The three down the bottom of the handicap are forced to compete from out of the weights. One of these, Lisavalley Lass, is not without each-way hopes, afforded a nice break since under-performing at Thurles in November. At the other end of the scale Ennemi Public has a twelve stone impost. He could come forward for the addition of cheek-pieces though.

An extended handicap hurdle for five years old and upwards rated 80-116
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii).
