FormscanBy Mark Nunan - ARRYCAN had three attempts to take advantage of his lower hurdles mark last month and, even though he ran creditably, came up short on each occasion. He’s clearly a better chaser and, after winning over course and distance last summer, took the scalp of subsequent Irish National winner Lord Lariat at Fairyhouse in October. He’s only 6lb higher here and will be very fit after his recent busy spell. Favori Logique, who was third to Arrycan in that Fairyhouse contest, had a very productive time last year. One of his two victories over hurdles came here and the form of his runner-up efforts in handicap chases back at Fairyhouse in November reads very well. School Lane was game when rallying for victory over course and distance last month. That was his third win over fences in the last six months and he’s likely to give another good account of himself despite a 7lb hike.
