FormscanBy Dan McEvoy - The front-running Lunar Empress sets the standard here with a rating of 86. She rallied gamely last time under Shane Foley but came up short, and there is a feeling that she is just short of what is needed. Belicoso has been slightly enigmatic, and after having valid excuses last time, he comes here under Dylan Browne McMonagle in a first-time visor, which may see him go closer at the fifth attempt. A tentative vote goes, however, to MAXIMILIEN LUCE (2), who was well-beaten on debut, but he was caught on the wing that day and didn't love the ground. Being by St Mark's Basilica, he will appreciate faster conditions and should take a marked step forward from his debut.
