FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Some of the leading fancies have changed hands through public auctions with GARDE LA PECHE selling for 170,000 pounds, having won on Durrow debut for Josh Ryan. The experienced 12-lengths runner-up was a subsequent pointing winner – defeating a 98-rated hurdler, and while the selection faces a tougher task today, should improve and, importantly, has heavy-ground form. Pallas Athene was pushed-out to win her point for Sam Curling last March and sold for 125,000 pounds. The exposed Lisronagh runner-up subsequently won a point-to-point although Pallas Athene is open to plenty progression. Next-priced E100,000-purchase Judicieuse Allen finished second in a Pau hurdle on her only previous run last January and is out of a half-sister to her trainer's smart Arbre De Vie. The winner was a subsequent mid-field-finisher in three Auteuil runs, while the Pau race was notably contested on heavy ground. Race-fit Milanaway has form but might bump into a few too strong while Desperado Genie has run well in two point-to-points and has proven stamina on heavy ground.
