He was no match for an impressive winner when sent off favourite for his reappearance in a Punchestown bumper but at least that will have advanced his fitness ahead of this hurdling debut. Gino Drummer Boy wasn’t far behind the selection when fifth on debut in that Punchestown contest and also represents a powerful yard. Mahler Mission was only beaten a length when third on his hurdling debut at Ballinrobe and the runner-up has won twice since. He returns from a break while Split the Bucket is another who lacks a recent run but he showed plenty of ability when winning a point-to-point and finishing second in a Fairyhouse bumper over a year ago.
